Octans Campus
OCTANS – Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Sciences – The Site
- The Octans Campus will be located on the Giens peninsula in Hyères. A pioneering site combining a curved wooden and concrete structure with the surrounding pine forest, it is the legacy of the drive to develop tourism right by the sea in the 1970s.
- In the future, the site will reflect a new relationship with the sea and nature. It will be completely redesigned to allow nature to reclaim the dunes and to respect the site’s exceptional ecological sensitivity, particularly that of the neighbouring Hyères salt marshes, across a 13,000 m² site with 4,000 m² of buildings, right by the sea.
A site designed to promote accessibility via soft mobility – walking, cycling and public transport – as part of the housing development in collaboration with local partners.

- 1,000 m² of floor space
- 30 lecture theatres and 15 rooms for small-group work

- 800 m² of usable space:
- Large multi-purpose hall & support facilities (control room, kitchen, etc.)
