Find out how we learn to act
Micellium Academy does more than simply impart knowledge: it offers a dynamic, collaborative and practical approach to learning, designed to turn understanding into action.
For more than two decades, Patrice Lucas has been working to drive major transitions. He co-founded Akuo with Eric Scotto, an independent renewable energy producer that has become an international leader, and later Agriterra with Steve Arcelin. They support farmers in their transition to sustainable agroecological models.
As an impact entrepreneur and investor through the company Micellium, he is committed to combating the collapse of biodiversity and to stemming the acceleration of global warming and its consequences.
In particular, he invests in solutions based on nature and technology, aimed at building regional resilience to accelerate the ecological, agricultural and energy transitions by leveraging three key drivers:
Entrepreneurship | Investing in and supporting projects of excellence that deliver high social value by fostering synergies and knowledge-sharing |
Philanthropy | Because some projects take time, and simple economic performance indicators are not enough to capture their social contribution |
Knowledge transfer | Investing in the future and harnessing collective intelligence to train and prepare current and future generations for the professions of the transition. |
A WEAVE is a pattern formed by interlacing threads. It evokes the idea of weaving together knowledge, life experiences and skills. It evokes connection, interdependence and community. Training for transition-related professions means learning to work in networks, to forge lasting relationships between individuals, regions and living environments.
To support first-time learners, workers and technicians, as well as managers undergoing professional retraining, in transitioning to the professions of the future, by combining practical know-how, scientific innovation and responsible entrepreneurship.
An academy for learning, sharing knowledge and building a liveable future. A concrete response to a widespread need: to rediscover purpose, to take action in the face of climate emergencies, and to reinvent oneself professionally.
To offer everyone a pathway to the jobs of the future arising from the ongoing societal transitions, through a network of schools and an approach that combines excellence, accessibility, local roots and global impact.
