Agriterra Campus

Agriterra Campus – Agroecology and Positive Externalities – The Site

Abbaye_3

The Agriterra campus was established at Gaussan Abbey. Since its construction in the 12th century, the estate has been dedicated to farming the surrounding land, making the building a testament to the evolution of agricultural practices.

An ambitious programme of soil bio-regeneration and crops adapted to climate change – already keenly felt in this region – has been underway for 24 months.

The 7,700 m² building is nestled within 60 hectares of farmland, including a 4-hectare vineyard:

  • A school that can accommodate up to 75 students;
  • A conference centre that can accommodate up to 300 people;
  • Seminars and conferences:
  • A cultural programme running throughout July and August in the main conference hall and the historic courtyard;
  • A hotel facility with a capacity of 75 rooms.

A site combining educational training with practical application to enable students to appreciate the practical benefits of their training.
